I was born in San Francisco and now live in Petaluma, California; a sleepy farm town about a 20 minute drive north of the Golden Gate Bridge. I work as a filmmaker and photographer most days and a writer on occasion.

I am a father and have discovered that I learn more when I try to teach. Kids are a fantastic source of zeal and wonder. I really love the enthusiasm of a child's curiosity. Key ingredients for learning.

Although I have been photographing for many years, I still get excited every time I pick up a camera. There is something new and fun to discover with every exploration. If you keep an open mind, and a sense of humor.

I shoot from the heart, and treat everything with respect, so I often stumble into frequent miracles - like smiles from strangers and animals. My favorite subjects to photograph are kids, animals and the occasional hallucination.

My motto: If you can learn to laugh at yourself, you'll be amused for a lifetime.
